Inquiry and Oversight

The Public Accounts Committee has launched an inquiry into the Civil Service Pension Scheme following administrative difficulties experienced since Capita took over administration in December 2025. Committee chair Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown stated that members had received broken promises from Capita regarding service delivery during formal evidence sessions.

Role of the National Audit Office

The committee's investigation will draw on a forthcoming report from the National Audit Office. The NAO report will assess the go-live status of transition arrangements in December 2025, Capita's subsequent performance, and how the Cabinet Office has overseen the contract.
