PwC appoints Nick Wilks as UK Insurance sector leader

PwC has appointed Nick Wilks as its new UK Insurance sector leader, succeeding Alex Bertolotti after more than five years in the position. Based in London, Wilks is a partner in the firm's Consulting practice and brings over three decades of experience advising general insurance, property and casualty, and life insurance clients. He also sits on PwC's EMEA insurance leadership team with specialized expertise in insurance risk, finance transformation, and IFRS 17 implementation.

Support Team and Strategy

Wilks will be supported by a newly named leadership team comprising Glynn Austen-Brown as General Insurance Leader, Anthony Joseph as Lloyd's and Broking Leader, and Nan Paramanathan as Life Insurance Leader. Darren Ketteringham, PwC UK Financial Services sector leader, noted that Wilks's background includes leading large-scale finance transformation programmes and guiding clients through complex accounting and regulatory change initiatives.
