Vanguard Claims Administration finalized the acquisition of Gibson & Associates Professional Claims Management, Inc. on October 30, 2026. Gibson is a Springfield, Missouri-based third-party administrator operating in both domestic and Lloyd's markets with a 25-year history. Benjamin A. 'BJ' Joplin, previously Gibson's principal, has joined Vanguard as senior vice president of the TPA Division to lead the general liability team, and all existing Gibson employees are joining the acquiring firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Capabilities and Legal Counsel

The combination expands Vanguard's handling capabilities across general liability, professional liability, auto liability, real estate owned, investor-owned property, outdoor activity liability, and construction defect claims. McGuireWoods LLP acted as legal counsel for Vanguard, while Spencer Fane LLP advised Gibson.
