Insurer-side background

Ardonagh has appointed Mallory Motley as head of international placement, bringing into its group placement team an executive whose career has been built almost entirely on the insurer side of the broker-carrier relationship. Motley joins from TMF Group, where she served as global head of corporate clients, client strategy and commercial operations. Before that, she spent close to a decade at Marsh, rising to managing director in its insurer consulting group for the UK and Ireland. She will report to Ron Hayes, who heads group placement.

Placement architecture and scale

The appointment arrives as Ardonagh works to structure engagement for its approximately $18 billion in annual gross written premium. The group has built out placement and data infrastructure in recent years, including the launch of Ardonagh Intelligence in March 2025 and specialty insurtech Axiiem in June 2026. Motley’s remit involves working across group businesses to identify opportunities to deliver greater value for clients, drawing on her experience in structuring advisory relationships between large brokers and major capacity providers.
