Investment details and leadership
Minority Broker Partnerships (MBP), chaired by Peter Cullum, has purchased a minority stake in Caleb Roberts Insurance Services, an independent agricultural and rural broker operating across Mid Wales, Herefordshire and Shropshire. The broker currently handles more than £32 million in gross written premium. Its existing management team, led by Hugh Campbell, Charles Campbell and Andrew Brock, retains control of the business.
Growth plans and context
The investment aims to support Caleb Roberts in growing its business over the next three years through organic expansion and acquisitions. Managing director Hugh Campbell stated that the partnership provides capital and acquisition expertise while allowing the firm to maintain control. MBP chief executive James McCaffrey noted that the deal marks MBP's seventh investment in 12 months, following previous transactions involving firms such as Moonrock, Raw Insurance and Eggar Forrester.
