Leadership Appointment and Regulatory Approval
Hybrid carrier Hadron has appointed John Moffatt as International Chief Underwriting Officer, subject to approval by the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority. Moffatt brings over 25 years of underwriting experience across Lloyd's and the London company market, having most recently served at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group-UK as Chief Underwriting Officer and Director of Underwriting. He will report to Colin Johnson, International Chief Executive Officer at Hadron.
Internal Promotion and Platform Expansion
Alongside Moffatt's appointment, Ian Walker has been promoted to Deputy International CUO. Walker has served as Hadron's Director of Underwriting in the UK since the company's inception and will now support Moffatt in overseeing underwriting strategy and performance across international platforms. The appointments aim to strengthen Hadron's underwriting expertise and operational capabilities as the company expands its specialty insurance capacity and fronting services for managing general agents.
