Underwriting and risk leadership

OAK Global has promoted Fraser Scott to director of underwriting planning and performance to coordinate business planning across Syndicates 2843 and 1440. The group has also hired John Coe as chief risk and compliance officer. Coe, a qualified actuary formerly of Munich Re Specialty, will embed the group's risk framework in line with Lloyd's and UK regulatory expectations.

Technology, reinsurance and claims updates

Open GI has appointed Jim Sadler as chief technology and product officer starting 4 November, joining from AutoRek. Fortegra has hired Guy House as senior vice president for treaty reinsurance to lead its treaty underwriting strategy from its UK office. Additionally, Qlaims has appointed Chris Boggis, a chartered loss adjuster previously with Woodgate & Clark, as claims director to lead its adjusting practice.
