Specialist household cover for domestic robotics
Tokio Marine HCC International has partnered with UK insurance broker Adrian Flux to introduce a specialist household insurance policy covering domestic humanoid robots. The policy is underwritten by Tokio Marine HCC International and made available to UK customers through Adrian Flux’s home insurance offering. The two companies anticipate that domestic humanoid robots will begin appearing in UK households from 2027, following initial market rollouts in the United States where early models are priced at around USD $20,000. According to the insurers, the product is believed to be the first worldwide to combine protection for a domestic humanoid robot with cover for the home in which it operates.
